Byron Casting is committed to the development and nurturing of our local actors/talent and delighted to inform you we will be running a new adult acting course for stage & screen. The course will be facilitated by our very own Director, Anouska Gammon. Anouska has had an extensive career in the Performing Arts and education, has directed, written and choreographed her way through 30 passionate years of all things theatre and film, and has a love for sharing what she knows with others! Her recent works include BTC’s 2021 production RENT (Directed)nominated for 5 theatre awards, Nit Boy & Two Wolves (written and directed 2019 & 2018) winning 2 theatre awards including Best Director and Best New Original Work, Selected (Short Film 2021) co-creator/director.
To support your development and industry knowledge, Byron Casting will also invite industry professionals as guest facilitators to join us on this course.
The course will focus on the art of improvisation, characterisation, movement & voice techniques and exercises and script work. For anyone who is starting out in the acting world, those who have tread the boards and need to get back into it or those who have been practicing and want to continue to grow and develop techniques and skills - this course will activate and inspire!
Classes will be held at the charming Bangalow Scout Hall in Bangalow on Tuesdays 6.30pm -8.30pm, starting on15th February 2022 and run for 6 weeks. The course cost is $400 or $350 (Early Bird enrollment paid by Feb 4th).
